Presentasjon av filmklippet (på engelsk)

Confessions of a Shopaholic is an adaptation from Sophie Kinsella’s best-selling Shopaholic novels. Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a journalist whose unhealthy obsession with shopping means that she is living with serious debts. Becky dreams of a job with fashion magazine Alette, but ends up taking a position with its sister publication, Successful Saving, in order to get her foot in the door. Her unique take on finance soon makes Becky a hit at work and she finds herself getting on very well with her handsome editor (Hugh Dancy). However, Becky is unable to be honest about her debt problem, and her shopping habits threaten to ruin everything.
In this clip, Rebecca’s shopping addiction forces her into a terrible choice. She has just finished shopping for a new outfit for her first ever television appearance. She then arrives for a fitting of her bridesmaid’s dress. Becky’s housemate and best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter) is getting married and is very excited about the dress she has got for Becky. However, she is also concerned about Becky’s latest shopping trip, and persuades her to go to another meeting of Shopaholics Anonymous. Arriving at the meeting, Becky tries to hide her shopping bags before entering, but is caught red-handed by the new leader of the group. As punishment, Becky is forced to give both her television outfit and her bridesmaid’s dress to a charity shop. After the meeting, she immediately tries to buy them back, but finds that she can only afford to redeem one. She must choose which dress is more important to her. We then see Becky on television wearing her new outfit. Answering a question about the difference between cost and worth, she is obviously uncomfortable with the way in which she has betrayed her friend Suze.
